CTA
Technological Corporation of Andalusia (CTA) is a public-private partnership made up of more than 186 companies to promote innovation and technology transfer. For 20 years, CTA has been supporting R&D activities through financing, mentoring and cooperation with main stakeholders, emerging as a singular multisectorial innovation cluster and bringing together the forces of public administration, industry and academia.
Main aims are:
- Support the technology transfer from the academia to the industry.
- Foster collaboration with technological stakeholders to generate, develop and transfer technology.
- Optimize available resources by promoting joint actions between the academia and the industry.
CTA helps its member companies to plan a complete innovation strategy: from the identification of their R&D needs to the formulation of projects or the search for partners and the financing necessary to carry them out.
CTA has financed 828 projects that have mobilized a private investment of more than 597 million euros, in which 392 different research groups from public universities have been involved and more than 1,000 researchers have worked in cooperation with the companies.
In addition, CTA has a portfolio of advanced innovation services to help companies, universities, research organisations, and public administration to transform the results achieved into wealth and business
Finally, CTA also participates in research and innovation initiatives at national and international level, many of them focused on university-industry collaboration.
